About the Book
This is my debut collection of poems, a memoir of returning to my Catholic faith after romantic deception and unlearning the ways of the world. I kept journals between the ages of 14 and 23, and ten years later, I rewrote them into poems. This book explores the complexity of faith from girlhood to young adulthood. I hope my book serves as a reminder there is strength in the softness and that love is always there.
About Me
Yaritza is a stay-at-home-mom who volunteers with underserved populations. She enjoys learning new languages and singing, but writing is her passion. Yaritza holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. She is writing her first book of poetry about self-transformation after loss. She lives in Colorado with her family.
